Need more time? File the extension, not late.
We file Form 7004 for S-Corps and Form 4868 for individuals, moving your filing deadline six months without a late-filing penalty.
What an extension does, and doesn't, do.
An extension moves your filing deadline. For an S-Corp, Form 7004 pushes the 1120S from March 15 to September 15. For an individual, Form 4868 pushes the 1040 from April 15 to October 15.
What an extension does not do is move your payment deadline. Any tax you owe is still due on the original date. So if you expect to owe, we'll estimate the payment and get it in on time alongside the extension, which keeps you clear of both the late-filing and the late-payment penalties.
How it works.
- Tell us you need more time before your deadline.
- We file the right form (7004 or 4868) and confirm IRS acceptance.
- The acknowledgement lands in your SmartVault folder.
- When you're ready to file the actual return, we pick up where we left off.
How it's priced.
Extension filing is a low-cost add-on, quoted up front. Far cheaper than the penalty it avoids.
Already past the deadline?
An extension has to be filed before the original deadline to have any effect. If you've missed it, see Prior-year returns — getting filed late still beats not getting filed at all.
Pick your form.
We'll take it from there.
Two forms, two deadlines, one workflow. Tell us which return you're filing and we'll send the SmartVault link and document checklist within the hour.
